While I believe the piston I received was the correct replacement part one of the critical dimensions was incorrect and required significant reworking. This saw is 100% OEM therefore I know the problem was the piston itself and not the rod. The problem: The OEM rod in my saw would not fit into the piston far enough to insert the piston pin. Comparing the new piston to the original piston, the gap where the rod connects to the piston was .044" narrower. I realize I could have returned the new piston for a refund however feared a replacement would have the same issue therefore I chose to do the rework manually myself. I carefully & painstakingly filed .022" off each side of the gap to allow the rod to fit properly. While I was successful, it is disappointing that such a precision part required significant rework.
